UAE National Day Cups: Order Deadlines for Printed Cups
Planning branded cups for 2 December? Here are the latest safe proof approval dates for every cup type, plus express options and quantity tips.
If you want custom printed cups in hand for UAE National Day on 2 December 2026, approve your design proof by Monday 16 November for most double wall paper cups, Wednesday 11 November for plastic cups and Monday 9 November for single wall paper cups. Aluminium cups with a sticker can wait until around 19 November, and eligible double wall sizes can go express as late as 20 November. Why National Day cups need early planning
National Day is one of the busiest weeks of the year for UAE cafes, hotels, schools and corporate teams. Offices host breakfasts, malls run activations, and coffee shops launch limited-edition cups in the flag colours. Everyone is ordering at the same time, and public holidays around the start of December can slow deliveries.
Printed cups are made to order. Nothing goes on the press until you approve a digital proof, so the clock starts at approval, not at your first enquiry. Leaving a few days for design changes is the single biggest thing you can do to protect your date.

Latest safe approval dates for National Day
The table below works backwards from a target of having cups delivered by Wednesday 25 November, a week before the day itself. That week of buffer covers stock checks, staff briefings and any delivery hiccups. To stay on the safe side, we have counted Monday to Friday only.

If your event is on 1 December or earlier, for example a school celebration or an office breakfast before the long weekend, move every date forward accordingly.
Using express when time is tight
Express production delivers in 3 working days and is available on double wall paper cups in 4oz, 6.5oz, 8oz and 12oz. It is not available on 10oz or 16oz double wall, single wall or plastic cups.
The express fee is charged once per order and includes VAT:
- AED 200 for orders of 500–2,000 cups
- AED 400 for orders above 2,000 cups
On 1,000 cups that adds AED 0.20 per cup, which is often worth it if the alternative is missing a launch. Still, treat express as a safety net rather than a plan. The proof step still has to happen first.
Choosing the right cup for National Day
Coffee shops running a limited-edition cup
A double wall paper cup is the natural choice for hot drinks, and it is express-eligible. Popular combinations are the 8oz double wall cup for flat whites and cappuccinos and the 12oz double wall cup for lattes. Winter evenings in the UAE are pleasant enough that hot drink sales climb in December, so a seasonal design gets plenty of exposure.
Malls, schools and outdoor activations
For mocktails, juices and iced coffee, clear plastic shows off the drink. Flat plastic cups with lids start at 1,000 cups, so they suit larger activations. Remember the 8–10 day lead time and confirm the current rules on single-use plastic for your emirate and venue before ordering.
Corporate gifting and VIP tables
Aluminium cups are reusable, so guests can take them home as a keepsake in the national colours. They start at just 50 cups and, with a sticker, arrive in 3–4 working days. That makes them the most forgiving option if you are reading this late in November.
How many cups to order
A simple approach is to estimate drinks per guest, then add a margin:
- Count your expected guests or covers across the celebration period.
- Multiply by the drinks you expect each person to have. For a two-hour office event, 1.5–2 drinks per person is a sensible starting point.
- Add 10–15% for spills, refills and staff.
- Round up to the nearest price tier, because the next tier often costs little more per cup.
For example, 8oz double wall cups cost AED 910 for 1,000 cups (AED 0.91 each) and AED 1,475 for 2,000 (AED 0.74 each). All prices include 5% VAT. Both orders are over AED 800, so they ship free within Dubai; delivery to the other emirates is AED 35–100 per order depending on the emirate, and pickup from our Dubai office is free.
Design tips for a National Day cup
- Keep it respectful. Use the flag colours as accents, bands or patterns rather than distorting the flag itself.
- Leave your logo prominent. A seasonal cup should still be clearly yours.
- Make it last beyond one day. A design that says "Celebrating the UAE" rather than a specific date lets you use leftover stock for the rest of the winter.

Yes, but your choice narrows. Aluminium cups with a sticker take 3–4 working days, and express double wall paper cups in 4oz to 12oz take 3 working days. Plastic and single wall paper cups need longer.

Minimums depend on the cup. Aluminium cups start at 50, velvet cups at 200, double wall paper cups at 500 for most sizes, plastic cups at 1,000 and single wall paper cups at 25,000.
